☀️ Understanding Solar ATAP: Malaysia’s New Rooftop Solar Initiative
Solar ATAP
Short for Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme, is Malaysia’s latest rooftop solar initiative introduced to encourage wider adoption of clean and sustainable energy.
This new programme is built upon the core concept of the previous NEM (Net Energy Metering) scheme
[allowing users to sell excess solar-generated electricity back to TNB (Tenaga Nasional Berhad) through the national grid.]
Under Solar ATAP, homeowners and businesses can install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on their rooftops to generate electricity from sunlight. During the day, solar power supplies your own usage, and any extra energy is automatically exported back to TNB for credits.
By joining the Solar ATAP programme, users can reduce their monthly electricity bills, earn from surplus energy, and contribute to Malaysia’s clean energy transition.
🔋 Key Benefits:
-
Lower Electricity Costs – Generate your own clean energy and save more every month.
-
Sell Excess Energy to TNB – Export unused solar power through the grid and receive credits.
-
Sustainable & Green – Reduce carbon emissions and support Malaysia’s renewable energy goals.
-
Proven & Reliable Technology – Roof-mounted solar systems are durable, safe, and low-maintenance.
At Quantum Renewable Energy (QRE), we design and install customized Solar ATAP systems for both residential and commercial clients, helping them make the switch to renewable energy with confidence, efficiency, and quality assurance.
